Skin enhancement/rejuvenating creams and lotions

Any improvement in skin appearance and health includes the use of specific topical skin applications which further enhance and maintain results. There are hundreds of "lotions and potions" on the market which make all sorts of promises. AestheticA offers ONLY products which are used most frequently in physician's offices and are scientifically proven to improve the health and appearance of your skin. The general categories of topical applications include:

Retin-A
Retin-A (Retinoic Acid) is often used to improve the appearance and texture of the skin. It produces a mild, superficial peel of the epidermis. Retin-A has effects on both the superficial (epidermis) and the deep(dermis) parts of the skin. The major benefit is to decrease the effects of sunlight-caused aging by increasing the speed with which the surface cells are replaced.

Skin "bleachers" and "blenders"
If you want youthful evenly-toned skin, skin "bleachers" (like hydroquinone and Kojic Acid) help fade the dark areas of the skin surface such as freckles, age spots, or uneven pigmentation. "Blenders" also help even out your skin tones, but also help you control the redness and peeling that accompany use of Retin-A type products, while helping penetration and effectiveness of Retin-A products.

Alpha-Hydroxy Acid (AHAs)
For those who need a lighter exfoliation regimen than Retin-A products provide. These products are gentle enough to avoid too much drying or flaking. AHA creams can also be used with Retin-A products for those who need a bit more rapid exfoliation, providing a highly effective pigment fading or wrinkle-reducing program. Variable strengths are available.

Vitamin C
Vitamin C solutions are absorbed into the dermis where they stimulate collagen turnover and collagen production and remodeling, thus fighting fine wrinkles by promoting skin tightening.

Kinerase®
Kinerase® is a prescription product which is clinically proven to help reduce the signs of photo-aging. It contains a nature-based product with 0.1% N6-furfuryladenine, a natural plant growth factor that retards the aging process. Kinerase provides not only anti-wrinkle properties, but also moisturizing qualities. This enables the skin to retain more moisture, leaving it with a softer, smoother feel. Kinerase is non-acidic and won't burn or irritate your skin. An excellent choice for those who cannot tolerate Retinoids.
